Last Updated: October 13, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully before using Starfish App. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by the applicable Terms.

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Starfish App, the website available at starfishapp.io, and related platform services and features.

By accessing or using Starfish, you agree to these Terms and to any additional terms presented for specific features or transactions. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the service.

Where additional terms apply to a specific feature, those terms may supplement these Terms. In the event of a conflict, the more specific terms may control for that feature or transaction, as presented.

2. About Starfish

Starfish App operates an influencer marketing marketplace intended to help businesses and creators discover each other, present services and opportunities, communicate, and organize creator collaborations.

Starfish provides technology and marketplace functionality designed to make creator partnerships easier to find and manage.

Unless otherwise expressly stated for a particular service, Starfish provides marketplace technology and does not become a party to agreements between users merely because they use the platform. Starfish does not act as an employer, talent agent, legal representative, financial adviser, or tax adviser for users unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

3. Eligibility

You must be legally permitted to enter into these Terms and use the service under applicable law. You must meet any minimum age or legal-capacity requirements applicable in your jurisdiction and presented through the service.

If you use Starfish on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Accounts

When creating or managing an account, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and current information
  • Maintaining and updating account details where needed
  • Protecting your login credentials and account access
  • Activity occurring through your account
  • Promptly reporting suspected unauthorized use

You should not share credentials in ways that compromise account security. Starfish may require verification of certain information where appropriate.

5. Creator and Business Profiles

Creators and businesses may create profiles containing information relevant to marketplace discovery. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide.

Creators may be able to display:

  • Services
  • Content categories
  • Pricing
  • Social profiles
  • Portfolio information

Businesses may provide information about their brand, campaign opportunities, and collaboration requirements. Not every field is required, and profile completeness may vary depending on user preferences and platform features.

6. Marketplace Relationships

Starfish helps users discover and communicate with potential collaboration partners. Users remain responsible for evaluating whether another user is suitable, and for establishing the scope of any collaboration, including deliverables, deadlines, rights and licenses, pricing, disclosure requirements, and other agreed terms.

Starfish does not guarantee collaboration success, creator performance, business performance, campaign results, audience growth, revenue, engagement, or sales.

7. Collaborations

Businesses and creators may agree on collaborations through Starfish. Users should clearly establish relevant collaboration details such as:

  • Deliverables
  • Content formats
  • Timelines
  • Compensation
  • Usage rights
  • Approval requirements
  • Required disclosures

Each user is responsible for fulfilling commitments they accept. Where platform-specific collaboration terms are displayed during a transaction, those terms may supplement these general Terms.

Your Collaboration Responsibilities: Businesses and creators are responsible for understanding and complying with laws, platform rules, advertising requirements, disclosure obligations, intellectual property rights, and other requirements that apply to their collaborations.

8. Communications

Users may communicate through Starfish or through contact details made available as part of a collaboration.

Users must not use messaging or communication features for harassment, spam, fraud, impersonation, illegal activities, or malicious content.

Service-related messages may be sent where necessary to operate accounts and collaborations.

9. Payments and Transactions

Where Starfish provides or facilitates payment functionality, transaction terms, payment status, and applicable conditions may be displayed through the platform.

Payments may be processed by third-party providers. Users are responsible for reviewing transaction details before confirming them, and for providing accurate billing or payment information where required.

Additional conditions may apply according to the terms presented at the time of the transaction.

10. Fees

Certain Starfish features or transactions may involve fees where applicable.

Any applicable fees should be disclosed through the platform or during the relevant transaction before you agree to proceed. You are responsible for reviewing the displayed fees before confirming a transaction.

11. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation, refund, or payment-release rules may depend on the collaboration, transaction status, platform feature, and any additional terms presented during the transaction.

Users should review applicable cancellation and refund conditions before confirming a collaboration.

12. User Content

Users may submit content such as profile text, images, portfolio materials, messages, campaign information, service descriptions, and other content.

You retain ownership of content you own. You must have the rights necessary to upload or share content you submit.

15. Third-Party Services

Starfish may link to or integrate with third-party social networks, payment services, websites, platforms, or technical services.

Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Starfish is not responsible for services outside its control.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Starfish's liability may be limited for certain indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar losses arising from use of the service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limitations may not apply to every user.

19. Indemnification

Where permitted by applicable law, users may be responsible for claims or losses arising from their unlawful use of Starfish, their content, their violation of these Terms, their infringement of third-party rights, or their collaboration conduct.

20. Suspension and Termination

Users may stop using Starfish subject to applicable account and transaction obligations.

Starfish may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary for Terms violations, fraud, security threats, abuse, legal requirements, or protecting users or the service. Where appropriate and legally required, notice may be provided.

Existing obligations connected to completed or active transactions may survive termination where applicable.

21. Governing Law and Disputes

Starfish may update these Terms to reflect changes to the platform, business practices, or legal requirements.

When Terms are updated, the "Last Updated" date may be revised. Where required by applicable law, users may receive additional notice.

Continued use following an effective update may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.

23. General Terms

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with applicable additional terms and policies, form the agreement governing use of the relevant Starfish services.

Severability

If a provision is found unenforceable, remaining provisions should continue where permitted by law.

No Waiver

Failure to enforce a provision immediately does not necessarily waive the right to enforce it later.
